Permanent Residents and Convention Refugees may apply for a LINC seat as of LINC Application Day on June 26, 2024. You can also attend LINC Application Day to apply in-person from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Class Schedule: Monday to Friday: CLB 4 and 5 8:00am-1:15pm; CLB 6 11:45am-5:00pm

Program Description

These programs are for learners who are eligible for funding from LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada). There are two full-time LINC programs:

Full-time LINC (Practical)
Full-time LINC (Academic)

Admission Requirements

LINC applicants must first take a CLB test at the Calgary Language Assessment & Referral Centre (CLARC). The telephone number for CLARC is 403-262-2656.

Program FAQs

I am a Canadian Citizen. Can I take this course?

Only Permanent Residents and Convention Refugees are eligible for LINC classes. Canadian Citizens can apply for FT ELL. Click HERE for more information.

I have a job. Can I still take these courses?

Yes, but you must ensure your work hours do not conflict with your class hours so you can stay for the full duration of your class.

When does the FT LINC term start and finish?

If you were a Bow Valley College student within the last 9 months, please contact SGAreception@bowvalleycollege.ca for a returning student form.

If it has been more than 9 months since you last studied with us, you will be required to re-apply. Please click HERE for more information.

This program is for immigrant youth between the ages of 18 and 24 who have not completed high school. In Bridge you will develop reading, writing, math, technology, and school strategies.
